Who can apply?

• Anyone currently attending a college or university in Virginia is invited to apply.

Can minors (under 18 years old) apply?

• Yes, minors under the age of 18 may apply with the inclusion of a signed parental/guardian consent form.

How many artworks can I submit?

• Each person may submit up to 5 artworks. Any additional artworks submitted will not be considered.

What types of artwork are accepted?

• Any of the following categories will be considered: Painting, Drawing, Photography, Digital Prints, Printmaking, Fiber, and Mixed Media.

• All artworks must be prepared to hang on a wall at the time of the exhibition. No pieces requiring floor space or a freestanding pedestal will be considered.

Does my artwork have to follow a theme? If so, what is it?

• The theme of the exhibition is “Move Forward’. We hope that this theme invites artists to explore themes of innovation, growth, progress or momentum through their own unique perspective.

Are there any fees to enter the competition?

• No, there are no fees for entering the competition. A maximum of 5 entries per student will be considered as entries

What if my artwork is selected, but I require delivery assistance?

• Würth Industry USA recognizes that some student artists may face financial barriers related to shipping artwork. Students who are accepted into the exhibition but are unable to cover shipping costs are encouraged to contact the exhibition coordinator to discuss possible accommodations or alternative delivery arrangements. While assistance cannot be guaranteed, Würth Industry USA will make reasonable efforts to work with student artists when possible.

Will I be able to keep my artwork after the exhibition?

• Artworks that win 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place prizes will be kept indefinitely by Wurth Industry USA, and ownership will transfer to Wurth Industry USA following the show. All other pieces will be returned to the artist in the method they were received.

• By entering your piece, you accept the conditions stated above.

Am I required to attend the exhibition night?

• No, there are no requirements to attend the exhibition night if your work is selected. However, we highly encourage all selected artists to attend the event in person to receive their award and represent their piece in the show.

May guests attend the exhibition night?

• Yes, the event will be open to the public and we encourage anyone to attend and support all artists involved.

Will my artwork be used in promotional materials?

• Yes, all submissions may be used by Wurth Industry USA in promotional materials for the event or otherwise. By submitting your artwork, you agree to these conditions.
