SharePoint Administrator

This role will lead and support the successful implementation of SharePoint business applications within Würth Industry North America (WINA). This is a new position that will also be responsible for training, maintaining and supporting SharePoint throughout the organization. This position is located in Brooklyn Park, MN.

This role will lead and support the successful implementation of SharePoint business applications within Würth Industry North America (WINA). This is a new position that will also be responsible for training, maintaining and supporting SharePoint throughout the organization. This position is located in Brooklyn Park, MN.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Must have excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Act as liaison and communicate with external support companies.
  • Responsible for the architecture, design, support, administration, configuration, deployment, and development of WINA SharePoint sites, which may include intranet portals, team sites, and extranet initiatives.
  • Experience with: Interfacing SharePoint with Microsoft Office products and network drives, configuring all service applications (e.g.: Search, Metadata, etc.)
  • Provide technical analysis of business requirements in order to develop, configure and maintain document libraries, workflows, forms, search, site collections, and SharePoint apps.
  • Create dashboards and KPIs using components such as SQL Reporting Service (SSRS), Excel Services, etc
  • Overall security administration for SharePoint permissions and access rights in accordance with best-practices regarding privacy and security.
  • Regular clean-up, review and audit of all SharePoint environments including SharePoint backups and SharePoint disaster recovery plans.
  • Provide technical support to all end-users for SharePoint and 3rd party software environments.
  • Analyze and assess existing business systems and procedures including implementation of new functionality.
  • Develop documentation based on business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications on a project by project basis in collaboration with users, stakeholders, and customers to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Develop training materials for training users with varying levels of skills.
  • Assist with software development project plans, including scoping, scheduling, and implementation.
  • Ability to manage priorities and proceed with objectives without supervision and work independently with business users and/or technical teams.
  • Performs other related duties as required to accomplish the objectives of the position.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Bachelor’s degree with focus in computer science, information systems or related field; or equivalent professional experience in supporting Windows SharePoint with 3+ years of experience in administration and/or developmen of SharePoint environments.
  • Thorough understanding of SharePoint administration and development concepts such as:
  • Experience working within an on premise SharePoint 2013 or 2016 environment.
  • SharePoint upgrades, patching, and migrations
  • Site indexing and search configuration
  • Preference given to candidates having experience on at least one of the following:
  • HTML 5 / CSS 3 / JavaScript
  • Exposure to Windows Workflow Foundation and Windows Communication Foundation
  • Microsoft Visual Studio
  • SharePoint Designer
  • .NET Architecture
  • Experience with SharePoint 3rd party add-on products such as Nintex or DocuSign
  • Understanding of SharePoint administration including management of service applications, web applications, site collection administration, solution deployment, and backup/restore via Central Administration and PowerShell.
  • Relational database experience with MS SQL 2008/2012 and SQL Server Reporting Services to be integrated with SharePoint.
  • Understanding of Business Intelligence, Information Management, Knowledge Management, integration, portals, etc.
  • Advanced technical knowledge of information systems and business process analysis is required.
  • Ability to listen to others to understand requirements and translate them to SharePoint functionality.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, and Visio.
  • Experience in successfully working with multiple projects at varying levels of completion with the ability to prioritize multiple assigned tasks, and execute parallel tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Excellent communication skills via telephone, email, written documentation and verbal communication skills.
  • Work cross functionally with business stakeholders gathering requirements and have the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and efficiently.
  • Ability to train individuals on the functions and processes of SharePoint and assist in training site owners on managing their collaboration space.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project Server a plus
  • Understanding of SharePoint governance
  • Up to 10% domestic travel may be required. International travel may be required for specific projects.
