To process all incoming and outgoing freight, prepare shipments for delivery, package/deliver vending items and maintain the entire warehouse.

Job Purpose

To process all incoming and outgoing freight, prepare shipments for delivery, package/deliver vending items and maintain the entire warehouse.

Duties and Responsibility

Properly use and maintain all warehouse equipment, including Wireless Warehouse guns

  • Understand how to fully use the Wireless Warehouse guns (pull tickets, receive material, Putaway material)
  • Maintain all other warehouse equipment (scissor lift, drum dolly, carts, shelving, etc.)
  • Alert management when warehouse equipment needs to be replaced or repaired

Receive, sort and process all incoming freight (UPS, FedEx, LTL, etc.)

  • Open/sort packaging as freight comes in
  • Receive product using the Wireless Warehouse guns
  • Putaway all received product daily using the Wireless Warehouse guns
  • Keep any packaging and/or documentation that is necessary
  • Send out all packing lists to main office weekly
  • Alert management of any shortages, problems, etc.

Pull, package and label, any unpulled sales tickets, transfer/consignment tickets

  • Pull any tickets that still haven’t been pulled using the Wireless Warehouse guns
  • Package product with enough padding that it arrives safely
  • Label products not in original packaging so that it’s easily identifiable
  • Label boxes clearly with the customer name and customer purchase order number
  • Package consignment orders, and ready to have installed into vending machines and/or VMI locations.

Consignment delivery

  • Deliver and install vending inventory to customers.
  • Receive/adjust inventory into machines according to customers set procedure.

Maintain inventory

  • Keep a regular schedule of cycle counts (as prescribed by company policy)
  • Maintain adequate shelving space for all products
  • Assign bin locations to items that don’t have locations set (NO BIN)
  • Ensure that ALL products have item labels on shelving (if labeling doesn’t exist, alert management)

Warehouse operations not explicitly listed above

  • Keep warehouse clean and orderly (according to company standards)
  • Pick up loose packaging, trash, boxes
  • Straighten & face items on the shelves

Assist driver to deliver products safely and on time

  • Securing product/pallets to avoid movement
  • Driving a direct route between customers/destinations
  • Obtain proof of delivery on provided delivery tablet

Greet customers when in a professional and friendly manner

Working Conditions

The typical work week occurs during the hours of 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday. A flexible mindset and schedule is appreciated for any rare occasions where you may need to stay late. Handling freight can be physically demanding at times, and requires that you be able to perform the job with limited help.

Physical Requirements

You will be standing for long periods of time and the warehouse isn’t air conditioned. Must have the ability to lift heavy objects (either for delivery or while working in the warehouse) on a regular basis.
