Würth Timberline Fasteners is looking for an experienced New Business Development Representative preferably with fastener experience, to find, develop and expand our customer base for fastener, industrial and MRO products for the Pacific North West Region (Portland, OR and Vancouver, WA).

Würth Timberline Fasteners is looking for an experienced New Business Development Representative preferably with fastener experience, to find, develop and expand our customer base for fastener, industrial and MRO products for the Pacific North West Region (Portland, OR and Vancouver, WA).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Generate new business-to-business sales of vendor-managed inventory programs and packages in the territory; identify, pursue, and acquire potential customers in current and new markets;
  • Focus on large-potential customers within the manufacturing industry;
  • Ascertain customer needs; identify and introduce new products and services;
  • Coordinate with Inside Sales departments at the branch to support customer needs;
  • Maintain customer relationships through effective problem-solving and communication.
  • Proven ability to hunt and sign new customers. Prospect new markets.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred with a major in business administration, marketing, industrial distribution or related field
  • 5+ years proactive industrial business-to-business selling, preferably in industrial, commercial and/or construction markets
  • Ability to deliver professional presentations to potential customers and close a deal
  • Committed, aggressive sales drive with desire to succeed
  • Proven success in negotiating business contracts
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and professionalism in building customer relationships
  • Ability to work as part of a team with operations associates, inside sales, and other field sales reps
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint is mandatory
  • Valid driver license and ability to travel by car regularly
  • Fastener industry knowledge and experience preferred
