Würth Service Supply is committed to providing fully traceable, quality parts and services for our customers. All fasteners are procured from quality-oriented, domestic and import fastener manufacturers that use statistical process control (SPC) methods in production. These manufacturing methods provide higher rates of tolerance on the product that you manufacture.

Wurth Service Supply's commitment to quality is evident in the ISO 9001 and QS-9000 certification. All Wurth Service Supply facilities are also Fastener Quality Act (FQA) compliant. In addition, Wurth Service Supply currently subscribes to all procedures and policies of the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) in the American Industrial Automotive Group (AIAG) format.

Vendor Certification Program

This program monitors the quality of all suppliers, enabling improved products and processes to better serve our customers. We utilize both supplier self assessments and onsite audits to qualify all our current and/or potential suppliers. The top 100 suppliers are monitored and rated for a six month period prior to being included in our top 100 list.

The new Certified Supplier status significantly reduces the amount of inspections performed n product from suppliers who provide elite service and quality levels. To obtain this title, suppliers must have no rejections or corrective actions for a six month period. The program is designed to promote better overall service from our vendors through:

In-house Inspection Capabilities

Würth Service Supply's Quality Control department helps to eliminate the final receiving/inspection process for most end users.

Wurth Service Supply is a resource for all of your fastener quality issues. Your part requirements and print specifications are kept on file to ensure you receive the quality products you expect. We proactively pursue and solve quality issues relating to:

Micro-hardness
Plating Thickness
Torque-tension
Hydrogen embrittlement
Joint Integrity
Case depth
Surface finish
Prevailing torque
Torsional strength

Shanghai Inspection Lab

For parts ordered from suppliers in the Pacific Rim, Wurth Service Supply utilizes its owned and operated inspection laboratory in Shanghai. This laboratory conducts thorough quality inspections of the assembly components ordered.

This rigorous quality process allows product to be approved prior to shipment. If product is not approved, the lab can gain immediate corrective action from the manufacture thus reducing lead time if a replacement order is required. A second inspection is then completed at the Wurth Service Supply facility in North America. The Shanghai, China facility is fully ISO 9001 Certified Lab and staffed with qualified quality assurance experts.
