Download Sametime Connect for the desktop.

During the installation you will be prompted for the name of your Sametime server. Your Sametime server name is:

Sametime Connect lets you:

  • See your colleagues online.
  • Send instant messages.
  • Start instant meetings.

Sametime Connect for the desktop provides most of the features of Sametime Connect for browsers plus the ability to:

  • Access all features using only your keyboard
  • Save chat transcripts on your computer.
  • Automatically start Sametime Connect whenever you start your computer.
  • Drag and drop names in your contact list.

Print Capture for Attaching Files to the Sametime Whiteboard

Sametime Print Capture is a "virtual printer" that allows you to convert files for display on the Sametime whiteboard. Sametime Print Capture converts Windows® application files into Sametime files (.swb, or "Sametime whiteboard" files) instead of printing them on a piece of paper. Use Sametime Print Capture when you need to attach a file to the whiteboard and Sametime does not automatically convert your file for whiteboard display. Use Print Capture before you attach a file to the whiteboard in the following circumstances:

  • When you need to configure the color, size, orientation, or resolution of the file to meet your specific needs.
  • When you need to display images that are much larger than your screen. When you shrink large images to fit the size of your screen, you lose the fine details of the image. Sametime Print Capture solves this problem by allowing you to display large images at full resolution.
