Summary:

Wurth Revcar Fasteners, Inc., a global components distribution company with headquarters in Roanoke, VA is looking for a Quality Technician to review simple fastener drawings (nuts, bolts, washers, etc.). who understands applied specifications called out regarding material, chemical and mechanical requirements (ISO, ASME, ASTM etc. from the IFI book). This person must have the ability to set up inspections, determine gauging requirements for such inspections and be able to train on gauge usage, specifically ring gauges, calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, etc. The candidate must be familiar with the APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning process) of AIAG (Automotive Industry Action Group) with a focus on the PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) requirements. This person must be a naturalized American citizen, detail orientated, have strong reading and math skills and possess excellent communication skills. Requirements:

  • A metallurgical background or experience in the manufacturing or measuring of fasteners is a plus
  • Associate’s degree in Engineering is preferred
  • Experience with fastener manufacturing, inspection, or sales is a plus
  • Strong mathematical aptitude
  • Strong reading and comprehension skills (detailed reports, Blue Prints and specifications)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong Interpersonal skills
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word), Outlook and Internet
